Happy New Year to all.  Unfortunately being oncall – I was called out to work right away.  Not a New Years goes by where we don’t get called out. Kind of a sad start to the year really.  And especially when it is a younger person in accidental circumstances.

Today is the day most people make resolutions or “turn over a new leaf”.  I refuse to do it on Jan 1st.  I usually do it on the winter solstice although I have no idea why.  One of the things I do in order to prepare for the coming year is check over my vehicles.  Today is the day that fluid levels get checked. Tires get examined. Tire pressure is topped up or deflated as need be.  A thorough examination of inspecti0n manuals.  All the necessary stuff in order to make sure the 2 and 4 wheeled are in top running over.  I can usually make sure the bike is in good order fairly quickly as I have a service log that my mechanic fills out and signs after every inspection along with notes as to what he did/didn’t do.  My main area of concern with my bike is the electronics.  I’m not familiar with them so it’s one of my areas of stress.
