Early Morning Commute
Yesterday morning I found myself having to take a ferry to the mainland in order to do some training. Normally that is not too much of a big deal – unless an Arctic Cold Front moves into the area bringing with it below zero temperatures, freezing rain or snow. For the rest of the country it does not even bat an eyelid for. on the coast where snow removal equipement is, in some places no existant, it makes the morning commute a tad more interesting than most drivers bargain for. On the commute to the “Big City” I found myself oddly detached. Listening to the radio. Tapping on the steering wheel. Calm, really. Yet when I looked at some of the drivers sharing the road with me – this was definitely not the case. Intense expressions. Clenched jaws and in some cases yelling out the window at other drivers. On a morning such as this – icey roads and bad tempers do not make a good mix
