If Love Had A Soundtrack…

Someone I know made a comment the other day about a piece of music.  It was an interesting comment not based on whether this person thought it was a “good” or “bad” piece of music. Whether they loved or hated it was irrelavent.  The interesting comment was the way they described this piece of music.  This person said “As soon as I heard this piece of music I knew this was the way Love sounded in my head.”  It made me stop for a moment and think.  Do other people think of pieces of music as ‘sound tracks’ in their lives?  We have such a powerful connection to music.  It makes us happy. It can make us cry. Every important activity in our life seems to have a piece of music that accompanies it.  Some of us remember the song that was playing for the first slow dance we ever did at the school dance, or the song that was on the radio when we received important news.  At weddings, the first dance of the couple is so important as well.  The music is chosen to reflect the hopes and dreams of the couple.  Even at funerals when a family chooses a piece that is especially important to them that reminds them of their loved one.

For those of you who were wondering – this conversation was prompted by this soundtrack:  http://youtu.be/II_tWntY9oY

Which begs the question:

If you had a piece of music that represents the soundtrack of your life at this very moment, what would it be?
