Moon over Port

The moon was particularly bright tonight. Like a beacon against a pastel Popsicle sky. It was good to see it because that means the night will be clear and cold – with an emphasis on “clear”. For the first time in a long time I was able to come out of work and not have to fumble around in the dark. Spring is truly on its way when I can go to work in the light and leave the office in the light. It means riding season is just around the corner and warmer weather is on its way. Another thing the appearance of the moon means is that we can now see the stars. I miss seeing the stars at night. Winter on the coast is infamous for rainy and cold, meaning clouds, overcast and no stars.
