It is funny how we pass something almost every day and do not pay attention to the details. Every day we might walk past a store without looking in the windows and finding something spectacular to look at. Or pass a skyscraper not realizing that at the very top is a nest of perigrine falcons at the apex. Or we skate down a canal and do not notice a small child sitting on a bench wishing with all his or her heart to be able to join in, but knowing that the cost of skates are too dear.
This comes to mind because just the other day I was walking by a tree that I walk by on a regular basis. I always admire it’s height and the breadth of its limbs. I never took the time to look closely at the base of its trunks or anywhere else. Just the other day, I was walking on a path I sometimes do and noticed this crammed amind the trunks.
You’ll never know what you could find until you look closely
