It seems that the month of April has flown by so quickly that I haven’t even had a chance to take a breath.  This surely is the sign of warmer weather because I tend to come out of hibernation on the warmer weather. The deck gets turned back into the night hang-out with its christmas lights on in the evening and the heat lamp going full out.  The inside of the house gets tidied up (aka dump runs) so that we have less stuff to worry about when we hit the road for trips.  And the sure sign of spring is when the woodpeckers decide to use the top of the light posts to drum everyone in the nieghbourhood awake at dawn. This behaviour always puzzles me – I know it’s silly but it makes me wonder if it gives the poor addlepated birds headaches?
