About

I’m a woman of eclectic interests.  Some of them apparent – some of them not so.  When thinking of a title for this blog, the title Two Wheeled Life seemed the most appropriate.  Firstly because I try and spend as much time on my motorcycle as possible. Secondly because, as some motorcycle riders know, when you live on two wheels you have to pay very close attention to what is going on around you or = sometimes dire consequences happen.  Thirdly, because when you only have two wheels to get traction, avoid disaster, or ride the rough pavement – life is kind of like that -> one minute you are riding along in perfect harmony then the next a squirrel decides to play chicken with you.  It makes the road of life interesting to say the least.

Hope you enjoy the ride

  2. Found your bog very uplifting. I just got out of the service after 7 years. I know I am not prepared and it not the best time of year but I really want to just jump on my bike and ride. I have a 2007 Harley sportster 1200c. I guess the biggest thing holding me back is not having saddle bags.

    • Actually a good option would be a cargo or luggage rack. Then just get a tie on bag until you find the bags you want. Added bonus is that the rack can stay on even with saddle bags – which might be a bit small depending on how much you travel.
Where on the globe are you situated?

  3. About a year and a half ago I met you on the ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo. I was mere moments into a long, “scary” solo motorcycle trip around B.C. You were so kind to me. A reassuring voice that I could do the journey I had set out on and an inspiration to go, have fun and be brave. You gave me a book to write the daily accounts of my travels in, so I could share them later. I did write and I did create a blog for sharing. It is far from a “motorcycle travel” blog but more of a lifestyle, inspirational blog. To motivate and support others to be creative, brave and try new things, like you did for me. I am sorry it has taken me this long to send my gratitude but life has a way of getting carried away and the days turn into weeks, then months… Anyways, thank you.
