ugh

June, so far, has been a dismal month.  It seems that this has been the coldest – wettest June on record – or at least that is what someone told me.

In some ways it is good.  This is the time when the maps are revisited and the preparations begin. It is also the time that most people get back on their bikes after a long absence and discover how rusty they are.  A bit of a mean trick by Mother Nature if you ask me.  Take someone off their bike for a number of months and when they are still rusty at the beginning of the season – throw all the nasty, crappy stuff at them as a bit of a wake up call.  Go, Ma Nature, Go!

Being that it is the coldest and wettest June for a while – or shall I say in spite of being – I have logged over 1700km since the end of April.  It still seems like a respectable amount of miles for this early in the season.  But just like an addict – I want more.  So I will be revising one of my goals – the one that specifically says that even if it says 40% chance of rain i would still ride.  I think the revision should be 50 – 60% chance of rain….. and I’ll invest in a damn good rain suit.  LOL

Have a great day.

See you in the wind
