Today was storm dodging day. We left early in the morning and found that the messing up of our internal clocks is actually helping us traveling as everyone is getting up earlier and earlier.

 

Although it wasn’t raining terribly when we woke up, that quickly changed and by the time we had finished breakfast at WHIFS, the rain was pouring down.  We made it part of the way down the highway before having to pull over and change gear – then made good time.

And early lunch at Kindersley put us on the road again with a stop at Roseland where we waited to see what the sheet lightening storm systerm was going to do in front of us.  We waited a bit as none of us wanted to ride in lightening.  Eventually we made a break for it and skirted no less than 2 storm systems. We made good time to Saskatoon and arrived at 1:30pm

All you can eat ribs at the bar was the fare for supper with an early lights out by 8:30pm.
