A trip into the middle

This last week or two I’ve been working in a middle island location.  A different scenery.  A different highway but never the less, still a great location for exploring on two wheels.  The wonderful thing about Campbell River being located where it is, is it’s proximity to the East Coast of Vancouver Island.  The Old Island Highway runs along the oceanfront where possible and allows vistas of shoreline as you ride along the road.  The other added bonus is that even if it gets suffocatingly hot during the summer, simply by riding along the highway down by the water is enough to cool down.  Campbell River is the gateway to the North Island and a jumping off point if a rider wishes to board the ferry to Quadra Island to the west, or to head east to Gold River which is on the west coast of Vancouvery island.

Campbell River is a great destination if you get the chance.
