It has started…

Usually ever year there is a point during the winter months that instead of looking back on the years worth of riding, a motorcyclist looks down at their feet, then turns and looks ahead. That point in the year when a rider says, “Today, yes today I’m going to turn left instead of right.” or “I NEED to see the moon off to the shoulder of the grey ribbon highway” or “If I won the lottery, would I go home or continue on?”

That time of year is on me. Each year the Vancouver Motorcycle Show signals the start of the season for me. I haul out the maps. Check the gear to see if I need to replace or purchase something new. Make the ride wish list. Check out the newest and coolest of the cool. Research the gadgets. Then move to the next step of emptying the saddlebags and reorganizing them. Putting the tools back in their cases and in the “high” or “low” side. Freeing up space for “treasures” I find on my “mystery” rides. Securing places for maps and route markers for the coming season.

It’s the bug

I’ve got it bad this year
