In the last little while I have been re/examining my reasons for blogging. Why do I do it? Why do I continue to do it? Why don’t I have more ‘friends’? Are the people following my blog really ‘friends’? Am I over thinking this? How many questions can a person fit in a blog before they seem paranoidally mentally unbalanced?
Insert another 10 to 20 questions between each of those questions – but my one finger typing on the iPhone keyboard can’t keep up. You get the drift.
I guess it all comes down to – comes back to wanting to connect with other riders from around the globe. In my travels to other blogs I’ve noticed some that are so populated that they count their followers in the millions. Yet the content is reblogged info from professional sites and very rarely is there a unique post from their owner or are trying to sell some gadget or the newest craze.
I guess it all comes down to what the purpose of the (aka my) blog is and don’t worry about the rest.
Again – the purpose of MY blog is to connect with other riders around the topic of my love of riding. The popularity really isn’t that important. And, although I might write an entry about a piece of luggage of a new gadget – I don’t expect you to rush out and buy it.
To summarize – I just wanna ride! And my work schedule as a funeral director and being on call sometimes gets in the way. Like this weekend. I should be out enjoying the perfect weather but working all week and 3 services today (Saturday)as well as a service and a viewing tomorrow make it so that I won’t be able to enjoy anything this weekend.
In the meantime – I hope the rest of you get out and enjoy.
Good morning everyone!
